Meet the Baker

I started baking when I was nineteen, and in the twenty or so years since, it has never felt like just a hobby or just a job. Baking is how I care for people. It's how I say “I'm glad you're here” without needing the words.

Baking is my passion, the thing that has always felt most like me. I put my whole heart into every batch, and each one is made with a real person and a real moment in mind. I'm so glad to be your personal baker.

Like in Land-Line Times

I think a lot about the 1990s, the landline years. Back then a phone stayed on the kitchen wall and a call meant you stayed put. People slowed down. They sat at the table, talked and shared food, and nobody was half-listening with a screen in hand.

I don't think we lost that because we stopped wanting it. Life just got loud and fast, and now everything comes to us through a screen. Still, a plate of warm cookies on the table can get people to put their phones down, lean in, and stay a while.

What that means to me

Baking Back to Connection is the reason I bake. A birthday dozen, a baby-shower tray or a just-because box is really about the moment around it: the people gathered, the conversation, the memory you'll keep.

I want every order to feel that way. That's why I personally talk through every request with you, from your flavors and colors to the occasion and who you're celebrating. Your treats should feel like they were made for you, because they were.

Marley Bear

Marley Bear is my best friend. Every story needs a place to come home to, and mine is Marley. Long baking days have a quiet hour at the end, when the oven has cooled and the last box is tied, and that hour belongs to us. My best friend asks for nothing more than for me to be there, and somehow that is always enough.

Marley reminds me that the deepest kind of connection doesn't need words, only presence. You show up, you stay close, you love without conditions. It's the same feeling I hope finds its way into everything I bake, and it's what Baking Back to Connection means to me at heart.
